Flame Maple binding with dyed wood red/black purfling on the top, back and sides. The rosette is paua abalone with red/black purfling, and a mermaid inlayed out of abalone and mother of pearl in the ebony headstock. Short scale (24.9") with a 1 3/4" nut width. Chrome Gotoh 510 tuning machines, chrome strap buttons (tailblock of guitar and heel of neck). Mahogany neck with maple laminate, ebony fingerboard and ebony bridge. Beautifully sequence matched mahogany with rich amber hues. Unlike most mahogany guitars, we have not dyed or stained the pore fill, so the mahogany has a rich golden sheen. Tonally, a lot of people are surprised by the depth of the sustain. All Mahogany guitars have not always had the best reputation, but this guitar has made several people reconsider the merits of this combination with pleasant results!
