"Hello from Idaho I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful experience I am having with my new Maton EBG808. The playability and sound that comes out of this mighty warrior must be due to the premium grade Blackwood and AAA Sitka Spruce with the Queensland Maple binding. I am no expert but the way the neck and body feel so strong and stable, the sound projects very clean and clear. The mid range through the AER amp using the APMic system is a joy. The guitar is capable of delivering the sweetest soft melody like only Tommy Emmanuel can play. I really had not played for years and really not all that well. Maton 808 has truly added a new exciting dimension to my life. I am even taking guitar lessons to better improve my skills. As an amateur who has played Taylor, Gibson and Martin guitars I can say that the Maton is truly my favorite in the way it allows me to play inspires me to practice. Adam was great to work with. He gave me insights on the guitar before the purchase. Having never bought an Australian guitar I had my reservations. The sale and delivery was great. I was a little hesitant to call Sutton Strings as I am from California, and its always a little risky to get something as sensitive as a guitar from across the country. "Like a lot of guys who grew up playing the guitar in America, I’d always wanted a Les Paul. After I’d cobbled together enough money for one, I went to Sam Ash for a road test of what was available. While I tried a lot of different models, I couldn’t find what I really wanted. A friend of mine had played Maton Acoustics, and suggested that I look at their electric line. He said they had aesthetics very similar to the vintage Gibsons, with updated electronics and top-notch hardware. I looked online and saw a BB1200 on Sutton Strings’ website. It looked fantastic, but I was leery of shelling out so much for a guitar I couldn’t try out. Adam was very helpful, and promised that if I didn’t love the guitar, I could return it within 3 days of receiving it – he was that sure I’d keep it. Now I have my BB1200, and I just got my second Maton electric – an MS 2000DLX. It too is fantastic, and Adam was great about ordering exactly what I wanted from Maton. "

"This guitar is really growing on me. I totally understand what you mean when you said it had a certain transparency that is difficult to describe - sounds very 'sweet' and 'glassy'. To be honest my expectations were that I would be less than blown away by the unplugged sound but would use it more as an amplified instrument, but so far I've played mostly unplugged and love the sound and playability. I think I've found my preferred neck width too, just right!"
